"My last visit here was the pure exemplification of the power of customer service.
There was a young man named Cole who by his own nature is a helpful individual, and each time you walk into a business, and there is an employee, and they are wearing the shirt of a company, there's one of two outcomes:
The person wearing that shirt will exemplify the best of the company, or they will not... Cole exemplified 110% of what anyone could reasonably expect, in my experience here at Napa of Bellevue Idaho.
Here are the some of the things that he helped me with, things which went above and beyond the last 200 (estimate) of my visits to other local businesses (customer-service-wise):
I asked for help in selecting some sturdy disposable work towels, he calmly compared the two products as follows:
He said, "we have two types: this first type is more sturdy but less absorbent, and the second type is more absorbent but less sturdy..." That statement in-and-of-itself is so decent and helpful, it instantly indicated that I was in good hands!
Secondly, I needed to make a purchase of a handheld flashlight torch, one that would both shed light, and have a narrow beam (because the project calls for locations that cannot be easily reached). I had selected one flashlight, and he offered an alternative flashlight, and explained how it was better as follows:
He said, for flashlight 1 you do have a focusable beam of light but let me show you flashlight 2, turned on the flashlight, shined it, and asked me if I thought that its light is sufficient, I said yes, and he said and you have the added benefit of this laser pointer feature.
He closed out by being subtle and helpful again, he acknowledged that although flashlight 2 did not have as high of lumens (unit of brightness) that, because I mentioned the need to "point" to out-of-reach-places in my construction project, that flashlight 2 was the superior option -correctly.
He helped me select a Bluetooth radio for my vehicle, he helped me read the packaging and helped answer my primary and singular question, and did not make me feel awkward, but made me feel valuable -that each one of my questions mattered, and that his company, Napa Auto Parts -was being reflected in his customer service.
And finally the coup de gras! he saved me $217 by pointing out to me the most expensive item; a collection of heat shrink tubing that, upon his mention I was able to have the presence of mind to recall that I already own a collection in my workshop.
For an employee not to rush you, and allow you to have presence of mind -is priceless!
So I was able to save myself from a relatively large unnecessary purchase.
I genuinely cannot thank that manager enough, and my impression of Napa now as a company is solid; it would take quite a disappointment, to now cause any erosion to that.
As I walked out the door, I was able to see the manager coming back from lunch and I thanked him. The manager replied: oh yes, -and his eyes lit up and he had a smile on his face he said, Cole, he's one of the best hires in recent memory... All I could do is happily agree and thank them both.
I wanted to take the time to write this from memory because that is how impactful that positive experience was for me, I hope you will find the same wonderful experience that I did, if you visit NAPA Auto parts in Bellevue Idaho.
*I was able to donate to a military heros-oriented charity as part of my purchase, and be able to put the name of my military hero, and for his best friend who was the first service member killed in Afghanistan.

"5 employees in the back walking up and down. No one comes to the front to check if there’s anybody to be ready to get checked out standing there for 15 minutes with other customers "that’s why you guys are losing customers to O’Reillys because your customer service sucks 100%.!!!"
