"Edit -- after this review was posted, I had at least 2 people reach out and apologize. So I think they haven't given up on customer service... ;/
I would hope my experience was not the typical, but the 1983 F100 I called about, they told me the truck/parts were available. I drove 100 miles to get the fenders and hood from it. When I arrived, the lady at the counter said I would need closed toed shows and my crocs were not acceptable to enter their yard. I asked her if I could at least look at the truck, and if I liked what I saw I could go buy shoes, and come back. She refused, so I went to the walmart nearby and bought new shoes. After arriving with shoes they gave me the location (E4) and when I hauled all my tools and went there and the truck wasn't there!!! They later informed me that the truck was in the shop since someone bought the cab, apparently the shop was locked on Saturday. Why couldn't they have told me that when I was a 100 miles away ? I then told them with all the patience I could muster to call me back when the truck was out of the shop. I still haven't received the call back. Alex was very nice, he tried to help me and actually seemed like he cared. The ladies up front were not of any help and refused to even give me explanation on why the truck was missing, not even a simple I am sorry. Overall this business needs to take a look at keeping customers better informed."

"This place is constantly evolving into a better and safer place as far as junk yards go. Always pretty sales clerks there to greet and help you find what you need, although I am little perplexed by some of the sales tactics. I don't get the time to visit often, but my last two visits have left me with the feeling like I'm being swindled. For instance, today I paid a visit to take advantage of the glass and windshield deal for $19.98, but when I was checking out, the clerk said sorry that's not for windshields, until I showed her the promotion on website which does and still does list windshields in the promotion even the same promo is shuffling on the monitors behind them on the wall. Then they say sorry that its was basically no longer valid even though it's still promoting as such all over website and in the bldg. I was quoted $87 for the windshield. After nearly having heatstroke getting it removed during a 108 degree day plus with it being on the furthest end of the yard. I would have been livid if I wasn't so exhausted. Clerk helped me out though and we settled on $40 after discussing the misleading promotion. I would've put up more of a haggle or fuss if I weren't so damn ready to leave and get cooled off from the heat of the day. I had a similar experience with the visit before this where I spoke to a gentleman prior to removing parts and he quoted a price range which I was comfortable with, but when I came back to the counter this gentlemen was gone and the next clerk said that there was no way he can make the deal I had already settled on. It's just not what these places used to be. Kudos on the organization and safety conciousness, but the sales end could use a little more honesty and fairness. I mean I would probably buy so much more if the deals made more sense. I will just have to spring an extra $120 next time to just have my windshield totally replaced brand spanking new with satelite or purchase new parts online for the nearly same as what the junk yard wants after you find and remove them yourself. I recommend to anybody choosing crains that they first make a deal at the counter and have them write it down for you at least before you assume that they will still be square dealers when you get back from being out in the yard salvaging for parts."
