"The employees are friendly, professional. I always enjoy going here to sell my metals. Even tho fort myers lots pay more i prefer to come here due to friendly employees and fast unloading they always have a crane operator and the lines are moving. Jim runs this place smoother than a bald guys head. Nothing but positive opinions about this location, its employees and the facility itself. Never got a nail, they keep the lot clean. The whole place is a joy. The huge metal pile in the back is a sight to behold, a garden of white steel and aluminum, just beautiful. The bird watching is good as well, with a vast selection of wild scrubs and rock dove pigeons in their natural environment. ???????? you will never wait in a long line, or deal with rude employees like is common at many scrap yards. Prices are not the best, true but I have never been cheated on the scales. I rather get paid 5 per 100 in Naples and deal with a friendly staff and clean facility, than end up in fort Myers with a nail in a tire and an employee with a rude attitude. I scrap as a "hobby" because I enjoy it, and I hope that this location stays around with its good employees, and fast service. A huge plus is being able to SEE the scale readout, several local yards WILL NOT let you see the scale readout, which always makes me nervous and distrustful. In and OUT QUICKLY that's a plus for me, I wish they were open later on weekends but I understand employees need time for themselves."

"Parking is terrible, they weigh in kg and pay in pounds to make things more confusing, if you do the math it doesn't add up to the correct weight (this allows them to steal weight from you in the confusion because nobody weighs scrap before they drop it off, they told me painted aluminum is worth more than clean shiny 6061 T-6 EXTRUDED ALUMINUM. The Latin guy is racist and Price changed from 63cents to 40cents from him 1 hr later Between the 2 employees that rung me up separate times. The Latin guy was very unexperienced in identifying metal. Had 2 carts of aluminum. 1 clearly was dirty and the other was so shiny you would go blind. He said they were both the same and painted was worth more. The lady in the front office has no experience identifying metal also and says that extruded aluminum changes into non extruded because you cut it with a saw. These people are insanely dumb and even called me hostile for explaining how an extrusion is made. The molten metal doesn't just drop out of a crucible and shade itself. Has to run through rollers and dies= extrusions created from large solid billet/ingot. I feel like they stole my money and never will I bring my metal fabrication shop scraps there again. I'm calling the bbb and reporting you! L&F is much more friendly and knowledgeable."

"I had 137 lbs of crushed aluminum cans. They subtracted 14 lbs because it is their policy incase there is water or debris. Straight up theft. Never happened when Garden Street owned it."
