"So I HAD given them 5 stars until just recently because while they were once very professional, helpful, & knowledgeable car care specialists, & I believe them to be honest mechanics who are there to help you with what is best for your car, NOT to make a fast, easy buck off you!
I do (as of recently) unfortunately have some pretty MAJOR concerns about the Hyundai brand after dealing with some pretty serious (& still unresolved after 3 yrs now!) issues with my car; & while THAT is not their fault, my issue comes from being given some misinformation & lack of communication that has put me in a position of bad to worse!????????
I have a 3rd party warranty that I purchased from the Hyundai dealership where I bought my car (not Elder); & it's a great warranty with a great company... & I WAS ORIGINALLY informed by the Elder Service Dept that I COULD use my purchased [3rd party / Not Hyundai] warranty to get my repairs done HERE at this location IF Hyundai gave me a hard time about covering the problem I've been having (*which I was pretty much expecting Hyundai to do... & that's exactly what happened!)
.... so after dealing with this problem/having the SAME issue with my car for well over 3 yrs-
*YES, THREE WHOLE YEARS!!*
+ 3 oil consumption tests & an extreme, 'deep engine cleaning' later (*& ALL done at ELDER! during this 3yrs!) Hyundai FINALLY "recognized" (i.e. ADMITTED) there WAS in fact an issue with my car (☆*the issue of EXCESSIVE OIL BURNING ???? & SAME PROBLEM as COUNTLESS OTHER PEOPLE ARE ALSO HAVING with the MAJORITY of Kia & Hyundai cars made SINCE 2011!!????????☆)
but THEN, ALL OF THE SUDDEN, out of the blue, Elder's Service Dept. tells me that they had apparently JUST RECENTLY decided to STOP???? ACCEPTING????????♀️ 3RD party warranties!!?! Just like that!?????????♀️
So now it seems that I basically have to start this WHOLE ENTIRE PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN – FROM SQUARE ONE, SOMEWHERE ELSE NOW!
Meanwhile, I'm still having issues with my car (*& I'm STILL having to add in about a quart of oil every 300-500 miles!????), & the time on my warranty's time clock is ticking down.
-Even though now there IS currently [an attempt to create] ANOTHER (yes, this is NOT the 1st 'well known' widespread issue with these engines) - a NEW class action lawsuit with Hyundai; but this one being for the issue of excessive oil consumption/burning, which I've been saying that I've had a problem with for more than 3 years now!???????? So needless to say, I am SO MUCH MORE then just "a little annoyed" about this whole entire thing! (& not with JUST Hyundai, but with Elder for not accepting the payment for the needed repairs [*APROX OVER $8,000 BTW!] on my car from the 3rd party warranty, even after/though I had STARTED the process with them when I began having the problem over 3yrs ago (*& also when they DID take 3rd party warranties!)
And so while the excessive oil burning/consumption is not Elder's fault specifically, them agreeing to accept a payment from my 3rd party warranty (IF need be) & letting me continue on with them for this 3 YEAR LONG process, just to have them decide to NOT accept my 3rd party warranty's payment RIGHT when it's ALL FINALLY about to be resolved...!!!??!?

So this is the very unfortunate reason WHY / HOW they went from 5★'s to just 1★ in my book; *& it's also for this reason it's not very likely we will be doing any major business -or sending them anymore business- any longer... *which is too bad because they're just a mile away from where we live which is quite convenient!????????"
