"I have used Cardinal Metals to recycle scrap metals and each time I have had a positive experience.
The ladies in the office have always been friendly to me. The gentleman that work in the yard have been friendly and helpful.
They do pay by a check and not cash, so be prepared for that. Also, you’ll need to show an ID ( drivers license will suffice).
You get paid according to the weight of your scrap metal, not quantity. There is a scale you pull your vehicle up onto and the weight is taken (much like the scales at weigh stations that truckers use on the highways). After you unload your metals, you drive back up onto the scale and the new weight is taken. The difference between the two weights is calculated and you get paid accordingly.
This is a typical scrap yard after all, so don’t expect a pristine area. Therefore, ladies, don’t wear your heels or dress shoes if you come here as the scrap yard itself is gravel LOL.
Based on my positive past experiences with Cardinal Metals, I will continue to bring my scrap metals and aluminum products here."

"Illegal business running on land not zoned for the work. Leaking hazardous chemicals on agricultural land and in the stream nearby. Let's hope they get banned from Guilford county like they did in Randolph."
