"There is a culture of gruffness in most auto recycling operations. I don't know if it is a macho thing or what, but you always feel like you are taking up their man-time in a way that requires an apology. Not so, this place, at least the counter person with whom I dealt. He was friendly, helpful, and, most of all, relaxed. I bought a part that it turned out I did not need, and they were helpful and very understanding. No problems, no drama. I like these guys and I'll continue to go there."

"Working at an independent auto repair shop, we often need used parts, and also have customers ask us where they can find used parts for repairs they do themselves. For many years we have sent people to Maz/Toy; in fact, I recently recommended them to my nephew. However, when the part he purchased tested bad within the first week and he returned for a different part, store credit, or refund, the owner refused and told him he could "shove it up his a**" (exact words). My nephew returned again later and a different employee was there who gave him his money back. Unfortunately, the beyond poor customer service that was the initial response is going to stick in our mind and we will no longer patronize this yard, nor will we recommend them to anyone else."

"Bought a trans off em. Installed it and it was no good. They sent out another. I took a trans in. Turned out it was the original trans. They wanted the other trans. So when I got back in town I brought them the other trans. But they no longer had the first trans I brought in. They charge 150 or so for a core charge I believe. They should pay me for the trans since they got 2 off me for the 1 they gave me. They didn't even apologize for no longer having the first one. Shady af."
