If you're in the Norfolk area and looking to recycle your scrap metal, Empire Recycling of Norfolk is a great choice. Customers praise the fair prices for copper, aluminum, and brass that are in line with national market values. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. However, it's important to note that steel is currently not very valuable at 5.5 cents a pound. They also do not accept plastic materials, so make sure to sort your items accordingly. With convenient hours throughout the week, including Saturday morning, you can easily drop off your materials at a time that suits you.

"Website says they are open till noon I arrive around 11 and they are closed. Would be nice if they updated their site so people don't waste their time going there"

"Prices paid for copper, aluminum and brass are pretty much in line with the national market. Steel is worth nothing at 5.5 cents a pound. If you have copper wiring it pays $2.15/ lb if it is clean without insulation so if you have the time to strip it do it or else you get $1.15 a pound. They don't want your plastic."
