"Hands down one of the best scrap yards Virginia. Family owned. Two brothers and their father. Always very friendly and honest with their prices. They buy just about everything you could imagine. If you have any kind of metal or Ferriss metal I would recommend bringing it there. You will not be disappointed. I give them 10 stars across the board. Will continue and always will be my number one place I go to."

"Been recycling metal from old metal roofs for over 5 years there now. its normally easy to get in and easy to get out, prices are good. Been nice to be able to recycle local, we use to go all the way down to culpeper, and the lines were always long, some times I would wait over an hour or two! what a waste of time.
If you are going to recycle there, go to the gate that is normally closed and push the call button and let me know what you have to recycle, they will open the gate and then pull over the right and wait a sec, they will come out and ask you and they might take a look at what you are recycling. (this is normal practice for all the recycling centers I've been to, they want to make sure you don't have trash or things they can't recycle)
Once they take a look they will tell you where to go, which is normally all the way in the back, about 1/4 mile back, just drive slow, as there are a lot of people in and out, some rent containers and other rent space, for there is a good amount of trucks and cars coming back and forth. Be considerate and drive slow, you will head to the scales if they ask you to and then to the back depending on what you have.
Its pretty easy, once you have unloaded in the back you will come back and go on the scales to weigh out (if you weighed in that way) then head back to the front and pull off to the left side, and go in and they will pay you, or wait and they will come out and pay you.
I've done this a time or two, so I know what to do. There is always people in there wasting their time and trying to haggle with them on what they pay. Right now metal prices are low, so it does not pay what is use to. Call first before coming if you want to price shop."

"These guys are thieves! Called last week about recycling an old catalytic converter and was told I could get between$60 and $80...showed up and they tried giving me $30. Went to the Gainesville Green Site and was given $110 for the same catalytic converter, which is fair market value for recycling."
