"B&F is a tow company & it is possible for them to tow cars, trucks, even RV... Many tow employees & drivers are good folks. HOWEVER, B & F are:
SNAKES ln the "grassphalt"
These corrupt snakes are in bed with the local police. Especially Elsmere & Newport, where a reputation for predatory/Profit policing is so well known its a running joke among New Castle country residents.
It's so bad it could almost be called racketeering:
Right, wrong, or otherwise they don't care if you break down, got hit, or perhaps pulled over.
B & F truck parks strategically in the lot of Peniel United Methodist Church. This way they are staged nearby a money making spot knowing THAT'S where officers intend to trap passersby. B& F waits for the police to call and tell em "we got one" this is done for a # of reasons its fast, its profitable and, having a tow truck on scene really helps intimidate a driver allowing the officer to more readily escalate a simple traffic stop into something much more intrusive ending in inconvenience at best and a total violation of your rights at worst. If police want to search but have no probable cause, they come up with a reason that requires a tow THEN because the car will be impounded the get to do the search because Veh inventory must be documented. So then you gotta pay for: the tow, hookup fee, mileage, storage, front gate operating fee, leaving the property fee etc etc... They know who to squeeze and who to charge standard fees. While kickbacks are illegal there's no law preventing B & F from donating heavily to the Police Athletic Leagues, Fraternal Order of Police and whatever candidate the police union supports, in order to show their Gratitude for being utilized as an EXCLUSIVE Tow Servive for the police in New Castle County. One hand washes the other: Officers Deny citizens use of their own Towing & Roadside Assitance company(like AAA) so their buddies at B&F get the business.
Not every customer gets scammed. They're crafty enough to do legit tows, but snakes stay ready to strike unsuspecting prey. You may not have a choice about receiving service from B & F, but if you must deal with them, record everything & get names of who you speak to, get copies of any paperwork.
I'm sure there are decent folks at B & F doing good work, but it only takes 1 bad apple & it's been this way for years. Let it be known: I am anti corruption. I support officers who are sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution & have demonstrated that oath through their service record. I also admire & honor the honest Towmen of America's roads, they are the unsung heroes of 1st responders. We at #CMC wish you safety & Godspeed in your legitimate duties.
Slow Down & move over a lane when you see a tow truck or officer in service, please."

"Got my broken car home!! Dispatch person helped me locate it because I didn't even know where I had to push it. Truck diver was on route before I even said thank you... Got my broken car and placed perfectly in my driveway! This transaction happened so fast, price was 100% fair. Five plus stars to both office guy and truck driver. No reason to call anyone else if you live in this area."
