"I've had good experiences dealing with the owner. You do need to know the value of copper, brass, whatever it is you are considering for purchase. You can also negotiate if you feel the price is too high. I read the reviews regarding pricing and I've never gotten to the weigh/check out and been surprised that the price wasn't as stated. In fact, the owner is usually with me when I am looking for something and readily gives me the pricing. I don't know her name, but she's always been helpful. The only thing that bugs me is the smoking in the outer section."

"I do love this place! But BEWARE. I am sure everyone can find something they need/want if it's metal. All items are sold by the weight. (SOUNDS GOOD RIGHT??) Now here is the tricky part nothing cost the price that is listed on the sign! Like a steel box...well if it looks nice & is maybe a little bit cooler than the other boxes...it isn't $1.00 a pound..they then said sorry this is ornamental steel...and it's $3.00 a pound. Or Let's say you find a bedrail & There is a sign that says "bedrails $1.50 per pound" So you think okay its 10 pounds...Should be 15.00 bucks. Not bad. But you take it inside...check out & it's $4.00 a pound!!!! Sorry it's not just a bedrail..its a BRASS BEDRAIL. Different price! So it's not 15.00 like you had planned it is now... $40.00!! Just beware nothing is as signed. You will find items that are super cool!! But just know that it more than likely cost more than you planned!!"

"I was disappointed to find that the business is temporarily closed. We arrived at 2pm on a Wednesday and the doors were locked - even though the signage indicated that it should be open. I called the listed number and the gentleman to whom I spoke said it would reopen in one to two months."

"Great local recyclery. I heard the statue moves by itself sometimes at night."

"whether it's dropping off metal from my house for recycling, or enjoying a walk through the "Used to New" store it's always a great experience. I have always felt I have been treated fairly on pricing with both sides of the business, and we have found some really fun treasures in the store."

"The recycling center looks like a dump. It's disgusting, disorganized, and makes absolutely no sense. There's even graffiti on one of the bins. Everything is mixed together and looks like trash. This place is useless and needs to be cleaned up. Have a person watch it and regulate it like they do in Glasgow and Lexington. Those are the only recycling centers I will ever go to because this place is disgusting! Leave it to Buena Vista to have something like this though...It's an example of everything people hate about BV. The town that no one wants to go to...and believe me, there are too many reasons to count."
